Westlawn Finance Stayers Cup 610m
Taken out by the talented young stayer Black Audit trained by local trainer Maxine Gleeson and owned by Peter Gleeson. Black Audit won by the narrow margin of a head in the time of 35.23. Kidatee Croc and Karma Connie filled the minors.

Village Green Hotel Sprint Final 407m
Charlie Sprite, the youngest greyhound in the final took home the $7,000 first prize money winning by 3.25 lengths from Sudoko Rebel with a further .25 lengths to City Breeze. This was a great achievement by owner trainer Ryan Newstead of Yorklea. Ryan is pictured with Warren Kempshall representing the Village Green Hotel and the Master of Ceremonies.

Taylor Family & Clarence Valley Sheds Maiden Final 407m
The Barcia Bale – Simply Skoda youngster, Simply Roadster proved to strong for his more fancied rivals to take home the $14,000 purse. He jumped straight to the lead and defied the opposition to run him down winning by 2.75 lengths in 22.90. Nangar Star finished second with Bralyn  Bauple running third a further 2.25 lengths back. Simply Roadster is trained by Peter Rodgers from Freemans Reach for owner Patricia Breen.

Ab Casey Memorial Final 407m
Fleetwood Kid for Frank Cini of Mannering Park repeated his heat win from box 8 in 23.11. In a roughly run affair Fleetwood Kid avoided interference by being in front. Finishing second 9 lengths adrift was Ore De Khan with 2 lengths to Nangar Doll.

Sonia Kempshall Grafton Trainer of the year

Last night 8.07.15 at the Grafton July Carnival, Sonia Kempshall was awarded trainer of the year. Sonia won this award by a wide margin and is pictured with husband Warren, children Abrial, Vale and young Jasper who collected his trophy for dog of the year Slick Japper. In her speech Sonia thanked her family for their support, Alpha Canis and Greyhound Performance Products for supplying two great all natural products, Track & Train kibble and Black Tar to her kennels.

Congratulations to Sonia, Warren and family on a great achievement.

A big thank you to Capalaba Greyhound racing Club for inviting us to display at their club on the weekend. Southeast Qld really turned on the weather and it was a great a day of racing. To show our support we donated  a bag of Track & Train to a trainer in each of the first three races. The lucky winners on the day were Robert Peschke with Just Fooling in race one, Nikki Peters with He’s A Knocka in race two and Wayne Hamilton in the third with Come Back Bill. We would also like to send our sincere thanks to everyone for the warm welcome we received. Track & Train will be available for purchase from the Capalaba Club.

Alpha Canis gets behind Lismore/Casino GBOTA

Alpha Canis Is proud to announce it’s sponsorship of the GBOTA Lismore/Casino branch dog of the month award. This months winner  was awarded to Charles Northfield’s Porky Teller.We will be donating a bag of Track & Train to the winning trainer of each month and giving away a bag as a lucky door prize.

A big congratulations to Pat Lavis and his team for an incredible performance at Lismore on Tuesday night (21/04/15). Pat’s team managed to win five of the ten races on the night. Pat has been feeding his entire team Alpha Canis Track & Train for over month and says his dogs are  looking and performing well on it. We hope his winning streak continues. Alpha Canis supports Casino Greyhound Racing Club

Alpha Canis Is proud to support the Casino Greyhound Racing Club. Located in Hartley St, Queen Elizabeth Park has seen recent major upgrades of it’s racing surface and infrastructure. The surface has been upgraded from a grass to a sand track where it runs races over 411m, 484m, and 620m on Friday afternoons. The track is looking fantastic and is a credit to the track manager Ron Herd and the club.
